The recent ios7 beta uptates has lots of features, but this is a feature which I have never read about. ios7 users can now block contacts in messages, Phone and facetime.

Yes, it's there and no one talks about it, but I think it's because not everyone wants to block phone numbers, unless you have stalkers or collections, but it's nice to have the option thought.

It's been talked about plenty, and it's certainly no secret.

Yep its proved invaluable to me in blocking all contact from an ex.

All I need now is to find a way to bounce her emails back :)

Other than some people in attendance were thinking about other things by that point.

I ws very happy to see this feature mentioned at the WWDC keynote. It was something I've requested and it's now a reality.

One feature I haven't see anyone talk about is Do Not Disturb. Have they updated it to allow texts to come through for allowed contacts?

The only noticeable update for Do Not Disturb is that you can now have it working when the phone is unlocked as well (or have it like before, only when the phone is locked).
