Press shift+F9 (or any other Exposé key) and watch the Exposé animation in slow motion :D

I figured this out after realizing shift-minimize makes things slow motion.

You want something REALLY cool? The same trick work with the minimize to dock button (shift-click it for a slow minimize to dock). So:

Open a window. Any window. Open Terminal, but situate the Terminal window so the minimize button on the first window is still visible. Type "killall Dock" into the terminal, but don't hit enter yet. Shift-click the minimize button (still keeping the terminal window as the front window), and *BEFORE* the window being minimized touches the dock hit enter. Witness the coolness.

    Try it and see!

Fine, spoilsport. The window will freeze in its partially minimized state. It'll still function as a window (although some of the mouse controls won't be where they look like they should), it'll just be distorted. Once you close the window (using command-w, or the close button if you can find it), things will return to normal. All the Terminal command does is relaunch the dock.

    Happy? ;)

Shift has been known to make all OS X animation go in slow motion since it was in beta.

I've known about this for a while, but I never tried it with dashboard. Pretty cool! Gotta love these little hidden tricks.

Yes. Tabs in Safari also help. ;)

The widgets in slow motion are neat too.

Scoff! You don't have to be a pure geek to screw up windows in XP! Any old user can wreck the GUI, you don't need any of this Terminal crap. :p

What's really fun to do is open about 100 text documents and hit F9. Then wait... wait... and wait some more. In about 5 minutes, your computer should be done orgnizing all the documents in Expose.
