Apple should link a rebate with a mac purchase in order to promote sales of their macs! If the ipod is such a killer seller, than maybe a $75 rebate with the purchase of a mac would help stimulate more sales. I've promoted the sale of two ibooks, a powerbook and a couple of ipods to current owners and if you throw in a rebate on an ipod, all of a sudden macs look even more attractive.

    Apple, what d'ya think?

It seems like apple can't keep up with the sale of their iPods right now as it is, as much as I'd love to get a rebate on them.

The give rebates on products they're having trouble pushing (aka the G5 rebate to ADC members, the 500 off rebate if you get a 23 cinema monitor, etc).

Yep, rebates are for struggling lines, not for the rising stars. If Apple improve the hardware of the lineup that should move the numbers upwards. Currently they are a bit stale, even the new laptop refits, but once the G5s creep higher and faster throughout the range tie-ups such as this are totally unnecessary.

If you build them, they will come....
