this includes shopping cart and such .

sorry ill admit im a total amateur at this , but hey , im learnin . and i really appreciate the input .

so yeah any tips on breaking up flash sites , or any comments or examples of a 15-20 page flash site thats slick and not a total bandwidth hog would be awesome . thanks !

My guess is that if you're an amateur you shouldn't be building sites in flash complicated enough to use a shopping cart. But I don't really know what you mean by amateur.

But anyway- I typically just load in all the different sections as their own .swfs as the user requests them.

The bandwidth issue will totally be dependent on your content and how effectively you implement it.

i would at least get checked out by a shrink... ;)

you say have a new "project." are you being paid for it? if so, i doubt your client wants to wait around while you tinker/learn how to make a flash-based shopping cart.

ask yourself this: "is flash really going to make this better?" flash is much better used when it "should be," not when it "can" (or even worse, "cuz it wood b kewl").

now if you're doing this just for the sake of learning, then i would definitely do it. the things you will learn taking on such a task will be invaluable.

yeah this is both on my time clock , and my learning experience , but for someone else ( no money involved ) . but the reason im doin flash is sadly just cause its the only web app i feel i can really be creatively unleashed , so to say , ha . im still a newbie , but to me it seems flash is more or less , a step towards the future , and as much as i know i should learn html real well and other coding , i think im gonna go flash for now . and get by with my sub-par html skills . but dont worry im not lookin to make a real "cool" lookin site with obnoxious transitions every second , just clean and simple . but any tips on breaking up a pretty big website ? ie. number of scenes , separate swf's . any suggestions well appreciated . thanks !
