Hey all, i started a thread on this topic a while back and didn't get many answers back, so I thought I'd try again.

I reserved a new alu-23" display to go with my 2 month old PB (already with Apple care), and as we all know Apple has a stupid policy of NOT allowing people to extend the warranty on a TWO-THOUSAND dollar piece of gear unless you buy it with the computer, so has anyone had any experience with a 3rd-party warranty like serviceNet?

p.s. I mean, seriously Apple, a 1 year non-extendable warranty on displays now costing upwards of 3 grand?

ok...welll, anyway, I answered my own question. You can get a two year warranty afetr the 1 year apple warranty on the 23" display from servicenet (macmall) for 142 bucks. Not bad.
