seti and f@h

    ok i have had f@h running for about two days straight on the same wu and its only at 2%...my comp is in my sig..so does that seem right for a g4 ibook, and can i still run seti and f@h when my comp is asleep?

    no, the folding process sleeps.

    are you running seti, too? maybe that's why your production is low. and sleeping the computer most of the time would account for that, too.

    I am guessing that you are not allowing your computer to sleep, cause that can slow the progress significantly (can't fold when sleeping), is yours set to fold as a screen saver or all the time?
    Are you on automatic with energy saver, in sys prefs, that will keep the laptop cool, but will make things drip along combined with other aspects.
    You may also have a protien that takes along time.

    no im not on automatic...my f@h runs all the time, not a screen saver...and yea normally i let it sleep every night...i guess im just gonna let it run all the time to let the protein finish which i guess will be a while on my 'book...and the seti runs as a program and screen saver...
