I downloaded BOINC from the seti site so I could run seti@home on my gf's 2.8ghz dell. Problem, how do I set it up, I downloaded it, but it seems I need server addresses and stuff or something. Crazy windows.

The BOINC thingy seems to be a generic distributed computing client, not specific to SETI@Home.

Go here and set up an account. Supposedly you will get the URL and Account Key e-mailed to you.

Is there a seti specific app I can download for windows? Also, I already have an account and don't want a new one. I'm thinking about just not even bothering on that computer. My dual 2ghz PM should be here tomorrow and that will be running seti as soon as I set it up.

Even though it's a generic dc client, it's also the offical SETI@Home client. There's a third-party client here though. Don't know if it's any different.

I'm sure you could just use your excisting account.. If you have an old account, there's some info about it on the mainpage (you just need to click the 'active it' link to have the info mailed to you).
