    Hey all!

So Im leaving for university in a week. Beccause of restrictions on the university network, however, I will have to use some sort of tunnel in order to connect to AIM or other services. I was told that http tunnel is the common app/service used by students, but it is PC only!

My family does have at least one machine in our garage with a static ip. Could I use this as a proxy to connect to AIM or Battle.net? I've been searching the internet for help on setting something like this up, but have found nothing so far.

Ssh seems to be what people have been using for such things . . . but I dont know much about it all. Any help will be appreciated. I hope my request makes sense.
