I set up mulitple accounts for the various family members that will use our new Intel iMac, and I tried to have everybody share two common libraries for iPhoto and iTunes, respectively.

I think I got it all worked out for iPhoto, simply by moving the appropriate directory away from my home directory into a path accessable by everybody, and then changing everybody's iPhoto preferences to point to this location. No, whoever launches iPhoto sees the same pictures, which is what I wanted.

With iTunes, I am not so sure. Basically, I tried doing the same thing, but iTunes instances launched from different accounts still show different music libraries. Do I have to use a different approach here? Does it even make sense with iTunes to do this, or is it better to keep iTunes music libraries separate and then share the various libraries between different users?

I look forward to your comments!
