Sharing Mac wifi internet connection with LG Infinia TV?

My system includes an early 2010 Mac Mini and an LG 47LE8500 tv, which features internet widgets and netcast. However, these can only be used with an ethernet cable to access the internet unless I buy a special wifi-device for the tv, which I do not want to do. However, my Mac Mini is connected to the internet via a WIFI connection, and I am wondering if it is possible to share this connection via ethernet to my TV? I have tried, and could not get it to work, so I would love a clarification of whether or not I can get it to work before I start putting a lot more effort into it.
