Now that I have my new machine up and running I'm actually playing with it and having fun.

So, I clicked on 'sherlock'. It has channels. But it seems to me that widgets in dashboard do the same job and that too more elegantly.

Am I missing something? What does Sherlock do that a widget can't? And if the widgets do in fact make Sherlock superflous, why is it still here?

I think sherlock was supposed to be like google in the early stages. It clearly wasn't up to par, people found better search engines, specialization insued etc.

Anwyay, there has been some speculation that sherlock is gone in leopard.

I suppose its in tiger to wane people off of it (if there were anydie hard sherlock users)
