Although I moved all of my tunes from my PC to new iMac, and the iPod seems to sync up fine and work properly, it is still formatted for the PC. Is there any downside to this? If it is preferable that I reformat it for the Mac, how do I do that?

Thanks,
Steven

I'm not sure there would be a benefit but if you want to do it then…

Connect to iTunes and restore it to factory defaults, then just re-sync your music. You might have to install an update or two after the restore but really with a good internet connection it shouldn't take long.

Perhaps it only makes a difference if you also use it as a storage device - not just for iTunes syncing.

Anyone else know?
