ok, i go away to college, and left all my old pc stuff up there (printer, mouse, etc).

i am home for summer now, and purchased the mac down here. i have only been using the trackpad.

when i go back to school (and have access to my old stuff), can i use the old mouse i was using with my old pc? would the right click function of the mouse be disabled? or lets say i accidentally right click (old habits die hard) would it just work like a normal click like the mac utilizes?

or should i just not use a mouse at all?

Is it USB? Then use it.

Mac are capable of right-click. Give Control-Click a shot sometime. ;)

If its a USB mouse, a right click will register as a right click on your Mac. So it will function just as well as it did on your PC. Mind you, you need to be using a USB mouse as a PS/2 mouse will have no port to utilize on your Macbook/iBook/Powerbook.

if it's a USB mouse, it'll likely "just work," assuming it's just a normal 2-3 button mouse with scroll wheel. At least, that's been my experience. The right click should end up working like a control-click or a two-finger click if you have one of the newer books.

    EDIT: beaten by a duck...sheesh. :)

    EDIT2: and yellow?!?! unbelievable!
