The shower/bath thread was so enormously popular, I decided to start a new thread on a similar topic. This one's not for the faint of heart....

    The question is:
What's the longest you've ever gone without a shower??

I'll probably catch hell if I don't answer first myself, so... the longest I've gone is 11 days (backpacking trip).

This one is how long have you gone without degrubbifying, and the other suggests that people have the ability to clean themselves, and amuse themselves with yellow submarines and soapy washcloths.

one week, long story, but it was because i had no access to a shower for that period of time.... longest i have gone with access to a shower would be two or three days. very likely happens when i am very sick and not doing much of anything anyways

Shush you... :p if you must know, my doctor couldn't properly diagnose it. I had liquid in my lungs like pneumonia and bronchitis and exhibited symptoms for both sicknesses, amongst other symptoms... he was quite boggled. I ended up missing 3+ weeks of school. :( And no, it was not mono.

I start to go a little green around the creases if I leave it any longer than about three days. :(

I would have to say about 5 days without showering. At summer camp there were no showers to speak of, all of the bloody adults got to use the showers while us kids had to contend with jumping into the ice cold river. I did that once and that was enough for me. Also, when I went to Space Camp in Florida in 1993 that was the first time I was introduced community showers. Even though there were curtains for some privacy, I was at the time a little shy to use them as you don't know what pranks boys will play.

    13 days, 4 times.
We start conditioning our body at the age of 6-7, when we start with 7 days.

We did have water to wash, only cold, very cold.
    Out of a tub.
    Fun times :).

Showers are hard to come by at Burning Man (at least if you don't like to get nakid in public)- so I'd say the longest without a shower is 10 days. Luckly, in the desert, it's so hot and dry, and sweat is absorbed by the heat of the day.. Thank god for the truckstop with the rentable showers..

Oooooh, I've wanted to go to that for the last three years! The press that I have seen for it makes it seem amazing! But I don't have any homemade arts/crafts to swap/ give away.
