My sidebar in Finder and my sidebar in mail have HUGE looking icons.

Any idea how to make the sidebar icons especially FINDER's smaller?

Many thanks.

Ya bro, i was having the same issue. But as always there is a solution. Press on :apple: on top, go to system preferences. Next go to General (the first one). You should see in the middle it will say "Sidebar Icon size: [Large]" change Large to small or medium :):)

That's just incredibly dumb that it's not under the Finder preferences, where there is a tab for sidebar preferences.

No it's not, it's changing it in other places as well, not only the finder so System Preferences is the correct way.

Now if only there was a way to theme these icons.

Exactly, whoever thought it was a good idea to have these monochrome Icons is a "insert profanity here"
