    Need "in"

Now if somebody would make a high quality line in adapter for the iPod, I might actually want one.

    Read the article.

It's a line out for your iPod instead of using the dock

When are people going to realize that there will never be a high quality line in because of the iPod's current hardware limitations?

On a different note, the din is just what I wanted. Could replace my pocketdock for sure!

This "people" realizes that it is more than powerfull enough to store audio at uncompressed, cd-quality bit-rates; it may or may not have the capability to do real-time mp3 or aac compression, but it surely can handle the simple analog->digital capture and storage.
