Single 1GHz MDD noise

I know this has been discussed before somewhat, but my brother is having noise problems with his single 1GHz, MDD FW800 PowerMac.
Is there any way too make it less loud?
Exchanging fans maybe?
If so, does anyone know where could replacement fans be found and what specifications they have to be?

doesnt apple have an exchange program for that? im not kidding, I thought they did

Well they did, but it was only power supply for 2002 MDD's.
Or is it for newer fw800 models too?
