Size of iTunes Videos

    I was just wondering how many mb the tv shows are when you download them from itunes?

    I downloaded the first season of Lost, and the size for each episode ranges from 175 MB to 218 MB.

    Wow! That's pretty darn good. I've downloaded some music videos that have been anywhere from 60MB to 120MB.

    It's thanks to the H.264 codec. IMHO the only video codec that even comes close to rivaling it is DivX.

    No wonder it's being chosen as the new hi-def DVD standard.

    Actually HD-DVD and Blu-ray "both employ the same video compression techniques: MPEG-2, Video Codec 1 (VC1, based on the Windows Media 9 format) and H.264/MPEG-4 AVC."
