Hi, I just switched on my Macbook Pro and started the Skype client.
It opens, but as soon as I click on a chat, the app hangs and I have to force quit it.

I even tried downloading the latest 7.9.746 from the Skype website again.

Anyone faced the same ?
Whats the fix ?

Might want to try trashing the preference files and related app files. They can be found here:

/Users/YOU/Library/Preferences/com.skype.skype.plist
/Users/YOU/Library/Caches/com.skype.skype
/Users/YOU/Library/Application Support/Skype

After you completely delete these files, try starting up Skype again and seeing if that helps.

Completely uninstalled and deleted everything and again reinstalled it.
Same issue. It completely hangs on 1st click.
