In Spotlight, in the window that comes up when you hit opt+cmd+space, in the results it tells you when you last opened the file. If you've never opened it, it says "No Date". I'm just wondering, where does Spotlight store this information? Probably seems pointless, but I'm just curious. :p

The filesystem actually keeps up with this date. It's embedded in the file's entry on the file table.
