Has anyone else noticed the slow internet today? Did a major router somewhere go down or something? For me the internet has been pretty slow for most of the day, generally in the afternoon.

I've seen a great program, but only on a PC, that shows you a US or worldwide map and shows graphically where your packets travel, so you can see where they went, how many hops they took, and how long each hop took. Anybody know a similar tracking tool for Mac OS X?

it's called visualroute. no link because i'm lazy. works OK, not as slick as it could be. A simple traceroute in terminal will get you the same results, visualroute just guesses at locations (by hostmask) and plots them on a map.

Yeah, actually I noticed a big slowdown. I did the CNET bandwidth test and got my 1 Mb/s as usual, but actually loading web pages took FOREVER. Weird.
