I was wondering what the slowness of screen redraws in Illustrator 10 on my Dual 1.8 w/ 1.25 gb of RAM might be. I have the nvidia 5200, which I know isn't th greatest graphics card.

I am moving a somewhat (?) complex object around, 12 "bars" which are three lines blended together. I mean, not graphically complex, but maybe numerically complex?

Anyways, just wondering, not bitching about machine or apple or adobe or anythign.

Make sure Overprint Preview is off. It's in View>Overprint Preview

I checked and it is off. However, turning it on really crapped things up.

hmmmm, try an illustrator re-install. If that doesn't work, delete the preferences.

I deleted the preferences, and that seemed to help a little bit. I would try a reinstall, but lets just say I don't have an install CD per se and I don't have the money for the cross platform upgrade for my Windows versions of the Adobe suite. I don't image file either, bah oh well.
