    Hi,

I have the SSD that came with my 2011 iMac. Can't help but think the read / write speeds are slow? Can someone compare to their own default SSDs? Thanks! Any feedback appreciated.

    Same here

I recently installed a Mushkin Chronos 120gb SSD in my 2011 IMac I5 and I'm getting bad results also.( Read 91.9 - Write 133.6) . But in my 2011 Mac Mini with a a 128gb OCZ Vertex 4 SSD I'm getting Read 248.9 and Write 453.7. I thought maybe it was the Mushkin that wasn't a good drive.

Yes, that seems very poor as well. Could it be that the drives are using SATA 2? How does one see if the drive is using sata 2 vs sata 3?

    Ref this case:

Reasonable results given the SSD that's in your computer, which is what was used in prior Airs.

The 2011 iMacs later got a firmware update that enabled SATA III. See that screenshot of the system profiler where you're showing the SSD? Click where it says "Intel 6 Series Chipset" right above what you have highlighted in orange and you'll see the Link Speed and Negotiated Link Speed. The Link Speed is the speed that it can connect at, and the Negotiated Link Speed is what it has settled on for the disk. 6 Gigabit is SATA III, 3 Gigabit is SATA II, 1.5 Gigabit is SATA I.
