Mouse Computers have done it again. This time, the new 12.1" SW is actually thinner than the 13" Macbook. Much lighter as well with only 4.3 pounds.

The link is from a Japanese website, and it's translated by Google. However, there's no integrated webcam, but Expresscard slot is included. The dimensions may startle many Mac users.

There have always been smaller options. People don't care. They want smaller mac options.

It's actually pretty attractive. Too bad it runs Vista.

Wow, it has a two hour battery life, that must be breaking some of the records for longest battery life.

I don't agree. I like the text size on my 13" screen. I always wish Apple would make a new 13" widescreen laptop because using my friend's 12" Dell wasn't so great. I loved my 12" PB at the time, but the 12" Dell widescreen didn't seem ideal to me because of the higher resolution.

This 13" MacBook is great for me.

And really......if people are so keen on an ultra-portable Mac, I don't understand why people whinge and complain about a lack of a 12" model. The extra 1" isn't a huge difference in terms of space or weight, but it makes reading more difficult because of the smaller font size (higher pixel density). If you want an ultra-portable Mac laptop, at least wish for a 10.8". Those really would save space and weight.

    Sucks

    1. Such an ugly computer
    2. Rip off from Macbook's design
    3. GMA965?! What are they smoking?
    4. Doesn't run OS X
    5. Vista Ultimate Edition on a GMA965?
    6. It is so overpriced. For its price I can buy almost 2 refurbished 2.0 MBPs
