The same thing happened in Istanbul this week; a snow storm, plus blizzard, plus thunder & lightning. I'm not sure Istanbul had experienced anything like it in an age, and, for my part, I certainly never expected to land in the middle of a snow storm when I arrived in Istanbul.
On my departure, the following day (yesterday) there was a queue on the international airport run way - like a traffic jam of airplanes in a weird sort of gridlock - because of the need to deice the wings of the aircraft before they flew, which meant a two hour wait as the planes crept along the runway awaiting their turn at the deicing station. Extraordinary.
Deicing in Istanbul. Cool!
Amazing picture, thanks for sharing obeygiant.
Pity the Coptic Egyptians don't celebrate Christmas at this time of year. They would have a white Christmas.
Wow, pretty crazy!
Today, so-called "Extreme Weather" is a result of Geo-Engineering. This means human manipulation of the ionosphere to create the resultant effects. It is also known as climate manipulation, climate control, weather manipulation, etc. Scientists have been working in this field in at least the last 70 years with a view to using the technology as a weapon of war and now it is being used to terrorise and harm the general public. This is a fact.
You might want to source that "fact".
Wild. I saw this pic of the Sphinx earlier.
Really? Damn. The internet lied to me. I saw it from multiple reputable sources. That's disappointing.
Thanks. I'll leave the pic so others will know, also.
Haha, its like a miniature replica of the sphinx and pyramids that got snowed on.
In Syria and Saudi Arabia also.
As someone living in Lebanon (next to Syria) the storm finished a week ago and the temperatures are currently slightly above average but i found it nice to feel a change.
The fact that you correctly assume that many will need have the geography explained makes me kind of sad.
Don't assume that folks here don't know where Lebanon is.
I'm going to because I read through PRSI
That's a town in Pennsylvania isn't it?
TBH i never heard of Lebanon. I heard about Syria before, but i don't know where it is, if it's a town/country, etc. All i know is they have really good food, i have i syrian restaurant in my town and i eat there every day.
Amazing Fact: GI Joe cartoon is a documentary.
Wow, no offense, but you've never heard of Lebanon and have no idea what Syria is? Syria's only been in the middle of a civil war and all over the news for the past couple years.
Hey man, general consciousness is over-rated.
Where is Lebanon?
