    Hi guys,

Since both Meron and Conroe are called "Core 2 Duo", which are the new iMacs using?

    Thanks

I don't think anything as thin as the Imac could dissapate the heat produced by a desktop processor.

Hmm Wilden, remember the G5? That was a desktop processor and they managed to keep the computers cool enough while maintaining a decent sound level on the fans.

Yes, the iMac intels are a bit thinner than the G5, but still, you get my point ;)

It's Merom, because the FSB speed adds up, as does the memory clock speed.

Conroe has other specs for those things.

Are they? I know the Rev A and B iMacs were square shape from the back, but the Rev C(iMac G5 with iSight and FrontRow) was the same as the iMac Core Duo/Core 2 Duo

I thought the iMac G5 Rev C was the same design as the Intel iMacs....I know the Rev C G5 had the iSight, and was slimmer, and I didn't think Apple slimmed down the Intel iMacs....either way iMac would handle Conroe but at the end of the day, its not a huge difference
