And when I clicked on the file, it says Unable to unarchive "UT2004-MAC-Demo3334.dmg.bz2" into "Desktop". (Error 2 - No such file or directorv.)

What does this mean?

Sounds like a corrupt disk image. Occasionally when you download a file the connection will time out or it was a bad file to begin with. You're sometimes left with a "complete" disk image.

The .bz2 at the end means it is a disk image that has then been compressed by another program like Stuffit. So he might need Stuffit.

OS X already has the proper libraries to uncompress .bz2 files. There's absolutely no need for Stuffit.

try running

bunzip2 UT2004-MAC-Demo3334.dmg.bz2

from the terminal and see what it outputs. This day and age there is no reason to install stuffit anymore. everything you need is built into the OS
