No need to look further than some of the Islamic states and places like Jerusalem. People there carry firearms in plain sight. Simply awful.
what a surprise </sarcasm>
correlation vrs. causality. This study'd gonna need a whole lot more work to prove anything.
Doesn't every country say god is on their side?
No. There are countries that are officially atheist, there are also those that are predominantly Buddhist which provides no single personalised all-mighty deity...
If I wasn't an Atheist, I'd be a Buddhist... I'm totally down with the big fat, bald geezer! Buddha rocks as far as I'm concerned... and would kick the arses of all the other gods put together.
I'm an atheist but have been mistaken for a Buddist....oh wait, no I've been mistaken for Budda
I wonder how Thailand stacks up then - Buddhist country.
but could he beat up Superman or Mighty Mouse?
I particularly enjoyed this:
"developing democracy", eh? Interesting.
Not very well, lately.
Yeah that's what I was thinking while I read the article. Interesting theory, but there are far too many variables to make such broad statements on correlatory evidence.

Odin > All
ahh, the bloated self-importance of mankind...
shouldn't we, as His creations, be on His side? since when did He become our servant, minion and pep booster? ( and yes, that's dubya)
that thing is full of beer.
actually he's about put it to his nose and lean over to a gigantic mirror...
Why does the symbol on his sweatshirt resemble an "A" followed by a hole?
I think that's just a rhetorical swipe at the developed/developing nations discourse. Nothing to get bent out of shape about.
Academic researchers aren't supposed to take rhetorical swipes.
religion is evil. Faith is good. Money, sex and beer are good. Naked women are good. Being free of spending money on useless organized religious establishments is good. I feel for the poor souls in the european countries that have to pay VAT. DOWN WITH VAT! DOWN I SAY! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!
