Software Updates for Mac OS X 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 I recently split the 32GB SSD in my iBook G3 into five partitions, have installed the following operating systems: Mac OS X 10.4 Mac OS X 10.3 Mac OS X 10.2 Mac OS X 10.1 Mac OS 9.2 While I was able to update 10.4 with Software Update (screenshots 1 & 2 below), Apple ended such support for all previous systems back in July of last year. I've downloaded everything from http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/apple/, my next step is to find out which of those updates to install, and in what order. Does anyone have a machine that they installed one (or more) of these OSs on, that they then updated as far as possible, solely via Software Update, before 23rd July 2012? If you have, could you please post screenshot(s) like the ones I've attached for 10.4? You can also get the log file in some cases, for each OS it's a little different: 9.2: Select "Display Log " from the "Update" menu in "Software Update" (screenshots 3 - 5 below) 10.1: Click "Show Log " in the "Software Update" preference pane (screenshot 6 below) 10.2 & 10.3: Click "Open as Log File" in the "Installed Updates" tab of the "Software Update" preference pane (screenshots 7 & 8 below) Once we have this information I would suggest making a sticky out of it, it may be useful to those reviving old Macs in the future.
