Ok. So the bargain shopper I am, I will be buying a MBP with 512 Ram so that I can buy 2 1GB sticks cheaper than what apple sells them for, but my problem is I can't find any forums to help me on how to instal them.

What is your advice in installing RAM on a MBP?
    Or
Does anyone have any pictures of them doing it?

    1. It is plain simple, a child could do this.
    2. No offence, but if you need a guide, www.ifixit.com has guides for everything concerning Apple laptops after PowerBook G3.:D

EDIT: Oops, just saw iBookG4user was faster than me! :D

Oh well I'm sure a child could do it, but sadly I dont have my MBP yet so I can fiddle around with it.

And since its with all its bells and wistles it will end at around 3500 when I buy it I dont want to be completely sure what I'm doing; hate to do something wrong that is so simple and ruin my only computer...

ok now another question. Since it comes with 1 GB already can I just add another Gig or do I need to go out and buy 2 1 sticks so they are made by the same company?

What MBP did you buy? If it was the high-end 15" or the 17", you will have 1x1 GB RAM, whcih means you only will have to buy 1 GB 3rd party RAM (1 stick). If it was the low-end 15", you have upgraded it to either 2x512 MB or 1x1 GB. The MBP has 2 RAM slots, so depending on how you configured it, you can figure out yourself what you will need.:D
