I ordered my iMac G5 when they were first announced (17" 1.8GHz 1.5GB RAM 250GB HD Bluetooth with wireless KB & Mouse). I use Creature I speakers with mine....but up until recently I used them sparingly (rarely had them on to listen to iTunes b/c I either used my Sennheiser headphones or my home stereo with my dock and iPod connected). Recently I have been using my iMac and iTunes (with Creatures) to listen to a lot of music. I'm getting the sound like my speakers are blown....but this happens no matter what I plug the iMac into (headphones included). But when I listen to my iPod through my headphones or straight into my Creatures (skipping the iMac G5 altogether), both my headphones and Creatures sound perfect.....no blown sound to them at all.
Has anyone else noticed this?

I would check the equalizer in iTunes and make sure it's not set to anything weird before I blame it on the mac....
