Soundtrack Help: How do i import aif files?

Hi to all Soundtrack users,
I have some old aif of former sound editing of mine and I'd like to mix it w/my newer material. Does anyone know how to import aifs/wavs/mp3s into Soundtrack? You'd think it would be simple but I can't seem to find the way.

Pick up the file from the desktop (or where ever) and drag it to a new track, it'll import at the playhead or at the beginning of the track.

You need the Loop Utility to create new loops from exosting ones I think.
