Just to keep people up on my Tangerine iBook adventures, my 300mhz machine finally got the bezel on the CD-rOM superglued back on and then the 6gb hard drive got replaced by a Samsung 80gb hard drive. Sweet.
Now I just need to switch out the 128mb PC100 chip for a 512mb PC133 chip and I'm set with it. It's a road warrior's dream to revive and soup up an old school but still extremely usable machine. Too bad the Airport card reception was fairly bad
. I wish that it could take Airport express but looks like that won't be happening.
So souping out a good ole Mac, just like tinkering with classic cars without a doubt.
By the way this was the first Mac I ever owned. My friend Eric sold it to me for 25 dollars.
