Hi folks,

Just to keep people up on my Tangerine iBook adventures, my 300mhz machine finally got the bezel on the CD-rOM superglued back on and then the 6gb hard drive got replaced by a Samsung 80gb hard drive. Sweet.

Now I just need to switch out the 128mb PC100 chip for a 512mb PC133 chip and I'm set with it. It's a road warrior's dream to revive and soup up an old school but still extremely usable machine. Too bad the Airport card reception was fairly bad :(. I wish that it could take Airport express but looks like that won't be happening.

So souping out a good ole Mac, just like tinkering with classic cars without a doubt.

By the way this was the first Mac I ever owned. My friend Eric sold it to me for 25 dollars.

cool beans, Alfie

It is neat. And you don't really lose anything because if it breaks, you just take out the hard drive and memory and airport and sell 'em and go.

Neato keeno on da old schooler. Keep us posted.
