A new Space Black Milanese Loop band for the Apple Watch has been spotted on the Czech Republic Apple Store website today, hinting towards an incoming announcement for the new Milanese Loop band (via 9to5Mac). The new accessory appears to match the Space Black Stainless Steel Apple Watch case, similar to that of the Space Black Link Bracelet.

The Czech Republic Apple Store listing parrots much of the same information as the traditional Milanese Loop, pointing to a possible launch date in about a week. Besides a handful of new color options for the Sport Band lineup earlier in 2015, Apple has yet to expand its higher-end Apple Watch accessory market with as many options for customers.

The Space Black Milanese Loop's Czech Republic listing only mentions a 42mm option, although if made official it seems that Apple would also include a 38mm alternative, akin to that of the original Milanese Loop band. The new band was also spotted on the Portugal and Hungary Apple Store sites, but all of them lack any official buy button at the time of writing. As usual, today's spotting could be some kind of mix-up and there is a possibility that the Space Black Milanese Loop band won't make it to consumer markets.

Update: Links to the Space Black Milanese Loop's online store page have been removed, and now redirect to the existing stainless steel option.

Add me to the list of people who'd have gone space black if this was available at launch...

I have a feeling this points to Apple Watch 2 being only a refresh of internals (and definitely no case changes which would alter the band connection) if it even exists; perhaps another refresh of band and case material options is all that's on the horizon right now.

I wish they'd do one of these for the Apple Watch Sport. I'd love to buy a Sport (and use the Sport band for work) and buy an extra Milanese Loop for when I was going out. I'm worried the aluminium will clash with the stainless steel though.

I'm confused. You want to use the steel Milanese loop with an aluminium sport? You can do that already, all the watches are physically identical. Or do you want an aluminium loop?

I find the popularity of the black components a little telling. Every Watch I've seen has been black and the demand for black apparently caught Apple off guard. Suggests to me maybe people generally are not yet ready to display these things quite as as proudly as the models in the ads.

With these recent Apple Watch releases, it's making me think that either the Watch 2 won't come out anytime soon, or it will have the same current design making so it's compatible with the current bands.

I really don't think that Apple Watch 2 will be incompatible with Apple Watch 1 bands. That would be a really terrible move because it would make people feel less confident about buying bands, many of which are almost as expensive as the watches themselves.

If & When the AW2 gets released they will not changed the mechanics of how the band locks on to the watch, that would general be the worst idea ever.

They can still change the way the AW looks as the only thing that would need to stay the same are the locking pins for straps.

Would have gotten this if available at launch. But that's okay, if the Apple Watch 2 is enticing enough an upgrade I will switch and sell my stainless steel Milanese loop.

The aluminium on the loop doesn't clash with the sport watch too much. I have it and it looks pretty slick

I've had this since October for my Space Grey sport and love it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013SAJQB2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_bVqJwb9NV1Y53

How did you find the JTech product? I tested a few of there bands and in my experience they were just shocking! I noticed they done this type of band but didn't want to risk it, due to previous experience's.

Although a company called Moko do the same type of band a the link bracelet (courtesy of another MacRumours member)

I have the Sport and the Milanese Loop. While it's not as terrible as I thought it would look, I'm still not thrilled with the clash. Kinda makes me wish I would have hunkered down and paid for the regular.

Even if the case changes, i'd bet all my internal organs that bands will carry through multiple generations.

I got that same exact band from Amazon for less than $30, no issues with the quality.

I have this band, also. It's a nice band. Especially for the money.

My only major complaint is that the magnet is incredibly strong. It sometimes winds around itself when I take it off, and I have to unwind it. Also, my girlfriend has a 2011 15" MBP, and if I'm not careful when I'm using it the magnet on the band can put the laptop to sleep.

I suspect that the magnet on the official Apple band is a little more subtle. If this rumor turns out to be true I may go to the store and check one out.

Wow the reason I didn't want to go for it is because I thought the magnetic strip was going to be really weak! I still think I'll get this space grey loop from Apple, but the link bracelet I'll get from Amazon.

Thanks for info!

This isn't my experience. Sure i have seen a lot of black watches being worn, but i have also seen just as many in other colours. I have seen one edition, and a few hermes as well.

That's a bit of a stretch, I'd say. I bought the grey Sport because I just like the looks of it better on my wrist. I also bought some pretty brightly colored bands to go with it.

I bought silver aluminum watches for both my girlfriend and her daughter, and they both agreed that was the right choice for them.

Seems you're trying to make controversy where none exists.

The locking pins dictate a lot of the looks, given their curvature at the ends

Do you think anyone could possibly notice? Enough to actually say something?

Think back to everyone you saw just yesterday. Were any of them wearing watch bands made of different materials than the watch case? Can you even remember if any of them were wearing watches? Colors of watches/bands? Of all the people you saw yesterday, how many are you able to recall in enough detail that you could notice a clash of materials at that level of detail? Did everyone's nail polish match their outfits? Were the fabrics people were wearing clashing? Etc.

I think of the classic MASH episode where Hawkeye bets he can go nude around the camp and nobody would notice. And he does for a while. Or the classic scene in American Psycho that is basically a business card (quality) contest...

I really doubt that your world is in tune with such fine details of what you are wearing that they would notice a clash of 2 shiny metals in your watch. But, even if someone might recoil at such a clash, is that really someone with which you want to associate anyway? Enjoy life. Who cares what such a person might think.
