Anyone else confirm low volume on phone call?

Yes, it was noticeably lower than speakerphone on iPhone, even when it was at max volume.

But, it was very easy to handoff the call to iPhone. Maybe using an earpiece would be better if one were going to have longer phone conversations on the watch.

Used it in the car after picking up from UPS. Noticed a lag with Siri and then the speaker was a bit low with the wind noise on the highway but it was useable.

I Can confirm that the volume is quite low even when i was just alone in my quiet room. I highly doubt that ill be able to hear jack s*** while out in public. (Space Grey 42mm)

Speaker volume low in call Apple watch

Do you guys hear a background his or white noise a bit in phone calls too?

Perhaps this is a natural suggestion to not be *that* person walking around talking to their wrist gadget...

The volume is so low that it makes this 'feature' useless on the Apple watch. It's a PITA as this is a key feature (having a speaker loud enough to use for calls). I'm amazed Apple did not catch this or fix this pre release. They could have simply checked out the competition (Gear S) for an example of a speaker that is loud and clear.

2 days using my 42mm SS and this is the only thing that let me down. EXTREMELY LOW volume on the speaker side, completely useless for calls.

I have experience using Apple Watch (speakerphone?) and I concur it is extremely low and hard to hear. Even if you're just in a room by yourself. I can hear it with a lot of uncomfortable wrist to ear action, but not very well.

I don't see it being much an issue anyways, as you'd probably only use your watch to answer calls you will end quickly (AKA I'm here open your door). But, it would be nice to see a volume increase and speaker quality increase in gen 2.

low low low

Has anyone addressed this with apple. I have a Genius Bar appointment as the speaker is unreasonably low. So low you can't hold a call in public and barely hold one in private.

Has anyone found a way to fix this issue?

I think this is just the way it was designed. Mine is low too. I suppose it's something Apple could address with a software update because the Watch speaker is definitely capable of outputting more sound than it does in phone calls.

I find it to be just adequate for quick conversations while about the house. Not for public use, nor would I feel natural using it in public

My volume is low as well. Ok for quiet environments, but almost certainly too low for, say, a shopping mall or city street corner.

Works great for me. I use it all the time. Not when I'm in a crowd though because that is just weird.
