Speech recognition?

    I wondered how things are with speech recognition on the mac. I did a google search and found some products like iListen which look good. But this stuff costs money, so I have to look more into this. As usual, I start from here and I would really really appreciate your advice! Thanks!

    No, just for certain commands.

    I used to use IBM Via Voice about 5 years ago on OS9, it was pretty good. I could even train it to recognise Sanskrit words.

    I can only imagine that after 5 years it must be amazing by now.

    Hmm... Do you guys know of any free programs that will dictate speech? I'm looking for something small that'll just help out with papers and stuff. I was looking at that ViaVoice but it's like $125... Bit too much for a high school kid who just wants to mess around with it. :rolleyes:
