now finally the FPÖ completly broke up ..half of their mebers don't know to which party they belong and it's not clear if the current coalition will keep working....

the famous word "Neuwahlen" ("new-election" earlier elections ...mostly happens if coalition break up or something ... happened in 1999 as well) is in the Air again

in my homestate they have no idea what to do at all because they have local elections next sunday  ...this gonna cost them a lot of votes

the Schüssel said that they will continue work with the new party ... which is shady because of laws etc..

and to sum it up: it's a complete chaos... a pleasing one for some (including me) but still a chaos

(for german articles: http://derstandard.at/?ressort=fp perhaps enough stuff for a whole afternoon already)

Maybe this means the beginning of the end for Haider?! One can only hope, his politics leave a lot to be desired.

more like stronger than before ... (Ursula Haubner ..head of the party is his Sister ;) ) ...after all the new BZÖ is _not_ the right wing of the 2 new ones...

Haider might have said lot stupid things like 10-15 years ago...but those which now are left in the "new FPÖ" are the core of the right wing (thus the nicknamed the Strache/Stadler/Mölzer party)

Update on the whole story: the coaltion partner ÖVP ("austrian peoples party" = the conservatives) said that they coalition is still valid and that they keep on working... from the law it is valid but "not very democratic" as a meber of the opposition called it...other words were "ridiculous"

but the good news is that with this split both parties might have to fight over the same voter... and you if you split the current 7-10 % you get near to the magical 4% you need for getting your seats in the congress...so both parties might fall out of congress ;)
