I have a simple Excel spreadsheet that was made in Excel 2002 (XP) on Windows. It's has some VBA code attached, which makes use of the Split function. When I try to run it in Excel 2004, it bombs out when it gets to the Split, with "Sub or Function not defined". Any idea why Split isn't working?

I've not had a lot of luck with compatibility between Excel for OSX and XP when it comes to VBA code. I code at work, bring it home, and it won't work. Works fine in XP. I just think that there are some issues in regards to that compatibility. Check the help file in your Mac version to see the differences between the two. It details quite a few.

Wow, OK, I (wrongly, it seems) assumed that the Mac version was pretty much equivalent to the Windows version. This is going to complicate things :(

Yeah, its not quite the crossover that Word is... even PowerPoint has its complatibility issues, but Excel is the most different from what I've seen.

Excel does fine on standard stuff with just forumlas in cells, but anything macro related with VBA code, or special stuff, and it pretty much freaks.
