Umm... Don't these people have anything better to do? Aren't there more pressing problems in the world than this?

I can see where the Redneck Foundation of America would have a problem with this.

If you preach tolerance to today's youth, you take away hate in their lives and leave them with Nascar, beer, and monster trucks.

FWIW, I think they're okay with it as long as it's not gay incest

A far-right Christian group complaining about their children being brainwashed?

At my level of ignorance about all this, I think I agree with Mr. Barondess.

Sun Baked, don't go off half-baked:

"If you preach tolerance to today's youth, you take away hate in their lives and leave them with Nascar, beer, and monster trucks."

Although a charter member of the Redneck Foundation of America, I ain't much into monster trucks; I'm an old sporty-car shoe, myself. But what's wrong with Nascar and beer? :D

Hey, 3s and 8s to ya, Good Buddy,

PS: I hope somebody gets the numerical pun...

Dammit, how does the Christian right always find out about our secret agenda to lure children into homosexuality?!?

Seriously you guys are being exactly like the christian conservative nut jobs you are so criticizing. Try to be a little more open minded, somewhere in here there is a real issue, and that real issue is just being completely skewed by the right and the left, whatever the issue is, if it even exists.

According to an ABC News report I saw last night, FOTF doesn't actually have a problem with the video per se, they have a problem with this "Tolerance Pledge" from WAFF's accompanying web site:
That's it. That's what the whole fuss is about, believe it or not. ABC focused on the words "sexual identity" as what FOTF finds objectionable.

This is confirmed by a CNN article, which reports:
Are they kidding? That's not us lefties being as intolerant as they are. That's just weird.

What about the sexual identity of priests and nuns, who are celibate?

Are we to view celibacy with the same scorn as homosexuality, because it too is an "alternative lifestyle?"

There are some of lesser talent who would like to become professional musicians. These are often told, "Son, don't quit your day job."

Seems to me the same can be said for social commentators...

Be open minded about close minded thinking? That makes my head spin.

I hope SpongeBob doesn't succeed where the Teletubbies failed! I wonder what Jerry Falwell has to say about all of this.

I saw a Daily Show where Jon Stewart said something to the effect of "don't trust any organizations with 'family' in their name"... which is pretty right on.

And Inauguration Addresses which mention "Freedom" and "Liberty" so many times tend to send anyone sensible running for cover...

I was at liberty to not listen to the speech. I exercised my freedom by avoiding hearing it.
