Spotlight hasnt been working for me lately. I click the magnifying glass in the menubar and type what I want in. The box then shows that little loading circle(not teh color pinwheel). The window then closes.

I tried resetting Spotlights index but that didnt work. :(

    What can I do?

Maybe drag a file named com.apple.spotlight.plist to your Desktop, restart and then try reindexing again. Just out of interest, are you reindexing using the Privacy tab of the Spotlight System Preferences? :)

The preference file is in your user library's Preferences folder.

It happened to me, too, but a simple restart and some time fixed it.

    Removing the preferences? :(

Well, how exactly did you try reindexing?
