Spotlight's Show All window needs help...the only way to get back to it is to invoke Expose. I can't Command-Tab, it doesn't show up and there is nothing in the Dock.

I search for a keyword, open a doc that I think is the one I need but then find out that it's not the right doc. I try to quickly go back to the show all window but I have to use Expose to find it. Am I missing something?

Nope, you're not. Because Spotlight doesn't "belong" to any application, you can't tab to it.

You can type control-option-space to activate Spotlight's Show All window. If you like, you can change this shortcut in System Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse->Keyboard Shortcuts (it's listed near the bottom).
