I was in the apple store playing around with different macs. On one of them i noticed that in the dock there was a windows start menu. Clicking on the menu brings up the usual windows menus with programs and all that. What software was used to do this. I have virtual PC and it isn't automatic like that. you have to start the VPC program and load the PC. The mac in the store seemed to have the windows os more integrated into tiger. Any help?

What version of Virtual PC are you running? It's a feature as of V6 of Virtual PC. It is also optional, so you may not have it turned on.

In VP7, go to PC>PC Settings>Dock>Show Start Menu in Dock.

It's off by default. If you open an app via the dock "start" menu, VPC will launch and open the app. ~Josh

Well I doubt this is what you meant but, If you drag your HD icon into the dock, (next to the trash can) It will create a shortcut there. You can then right click or cmd click on it, and it brings up a windows-esq list. It has the apps folder, and a few others.
