stays unlocked when off wrist

I searched but couldn't find reference to this so apologies if it's already been talked about.

When I take my watch off my wrist, it locks immediately.

if you then unlock it, it stays unlocked as long as the screen doesn't turn off. All functions are available, including Apple Pay etc.

That's as designed, to allow you to manipulate the Watch when it's off the wrist. However, it will relock when it sleeps again.

Just curious how you would like it to perform? If it's unlocked, it's unlocked.

That sounds exactly as it should work... The screen only stays on a few seconds without manipulation anyway. Would you rather enter your password every 3 seconds whilst using it to make sure it hasn't been snatched from your hand and rushed to the nearest shop taking Apple Pay?

Yeah, I'm a little unsure how you would want it to work otherwise. That is definitely working perfectly and how it is supposed to.
