Humor aside, I wonder how many people think the one button mouse is Jobs' doing. Check out the NeXT machines... 2 button mice.

Yeah, but for how many years was he not the CEO? And Apple still stuck with the single-button mouse. Methinks there are greater powers at work here...

Are you suggesting that, just as there are REAL reasons--not just egos and emotions--to use a multi-button mouse... there are also REAL reasons--not just egos and emotions--for using a one-button mouse? ;) :D

Well we should know for sure at the Paris Expo. It just depends on how hands on Steve works as a manager. Some are Micro and some are Macro.

Hate to say it but the best mouse i seem to own is from Microstink, Apple's old black pro mouse wasnt bad for one button but the current one button white mouse dpi just sucks. Im glad they did something because anything is better then years of nothing and then going backward with the cheap white mouse. If the single button mouse wasnt a result of Jobs i would be shocked. His arrogance has screwed the company many times. New mouse needs work.

Yeah it would be better to just get rid of those "force-sensing" side buttons. I feel like I have to put a death grip on them to get it to work.

So once i get my 50 dollar apple store cert, what should I get?

Might mouse, bluetooth mouse, or bluetooth keyboard?

It just seems like a waste to spend 50 dollars on a heavy, single-button mouse.

If you want a bluetooth mouse, I would advise against the Apple single-button one. For the very reason you state.
