my ibook g4 1.33 12" delete key is awfully sticky, i tried cleaning under it, using cleaners and water, it seems to work for a little and then resumes later on in the day. i even tried using nail polish remover to clean under it.

is it possibly to pop the delete key off to try and clean the metal spring attachment? i'm afraid i'm going to bust this key in half if i try to hank it off, how am i suppose to do this?

Yes you can take the keys off just put your fingernail under the edge and pull up CAREFULLY if you snap off a bit of the plastic clip then you will need to get a new key from Apple.

Okay to start off, lift up the keyboard from the computer (by using the two tabs up top, pull the towards you and then lift - it comes up, dont worry) and then you should be able to get a good enough angle underneath the key to simply pull it up, and off. However, I would recommend looking for a keyboard cleaning guide online first for your generation of ibook. It can be scary the first time - keep in mind that it can be a pain to get a new key from apple.
