I just ordered a 15" with the 5400rpm hard drive and am curious as to what size the buffer on that is. I would imagine it is not 8mb like many aftermarket Toshiba and other brand models that I see. Hopefully it is bigger than 2 though! Thanks.

    Me too..

I am waiting for my PB 15" with the 5400 RPM Drive. I sure hope it noticeably beats the 4200 Drive performance.

its prob. going to be 2MB. There aren't any 4MB buffer drives out there. As far as I know its 2MB, 8MB and a few with 16MB. But chances are that its just 2MB.

Really. That would be nice... Wonder what the 4200 has in comparison...

It has an 8 MB buffer. This is the model used in my PowerBook: Hitachi HTS548080M9AT00
