Subway's (the sandwich company) serving of meat has really gone down. Has anyone else noticed this trend of how they use less meat then they used to? I got a foot long turkey grinder, and they put 6 slices of turkey on it. 6 slices! Every other place I've been to that serves grinders puts about 10 or even 15 slices on a large grinder! I've resorted to getting double meat for 2 dollars more, in order to reach the correct balance of bread, meat and veggies. It is still upsetting that they skimp so much on the crucial ingredient of their sandwiches. No wonder they have 7 sandwiches with 6 grams of fat or less.... there is no meat on them!

Colombo Yogurt has a whole campaign commercial, "Bigger is better." They point out that they haven't changed the size its inception, still a full 8 ounces. Our local news station did a story on it's "Buyer Beware" segment, on how important it is to read labels. The price remains the same but the weight decreases. The deception is sad! Check at the bottom.

Andy Rooney did a similar piece on his 2 minute complaining segment on 60 minutes a few months ago. Unfortunately, this has become widespread practice to deceive the consumer. Thanks for the link though!

Sucking the profits out of the public companies.

Suck enough out and the customers will call the food crap and go somewhere else, sort of like what Pepsi did to Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Of course they sucked so much money out of Kentucky Fried Chicken they had to replace the name with KFC.

quiznos subs are only as good as the place that makes them. when i worked at one i consitently threw an extra ounce-2 ounces per sandwich so they tasted right...the recommended amount was scamp....but still tasty.

    Vegetarianism is NOT the answer!!!

I considered becoming a vegetarian. The problem has always been the animals: they're just too darned tasty.

yeah there's lots of places keeping their prices the same and reducing the amount of real 'food' they include in their products. i can't say i've noticed it in Subway in Australia though, but i'm not really a regular Subway person.

but i could swear the MacDonalds has really started reducing the size of their burgers in the last couple of years.

Damn right... For every animal a vegitarian doesnt eat, im going to eat two... Thats been my lifes motto for a long time now...

I can remember this one time where PETA was protesting the eating of meat infront of a grocery store, so me and a friend of mine went to a Wendys and grabed a few burgers and then we went and made signs and protested with them while eating the burgers... It was quite funny to see them get mad at us.

the thing you're not seeing is that, if we just spam about fighting, we accomplish the same thing, with less chance of getting mod deletions :p
