I see so many "windows vs mac" or "apple vs {insert random brand}" posts that I think it would be great if you guys dedicated a little section for those kinds of threads.

vs. threads would be ok. I don't know if they'd happen though.

We already have a forum for arguing about operating systems and mobile platforms; Politics, Religion, Social Issues.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

I think this is a bad idea. There's enough system and OS wars in here, we do not need to sanction that by giving it its own forum.

I like the idea of a system wars thread. If someone wants comparisons they can stick it where I don't have to see it.

Most threads don't start as system war threads. You can have a simple "Should I buy MBP?" thread which will turn into Windows vs OS X. Not necessarily a fight because oftentimes, a PC is a better option for the OP (e.g. very low budget, heavy gamer, native Windows needed a lot etc).

Besides, lately the discussion has mainly taken place in big threads, so there aren't many threads like that anyway.
