Sun's Project Looking Glass

    Sun is doing some really neat innovation in the Linux desktop space with something called Project Looking Glass. I found this in an article at Wired about how all the Linux desktops are turning out to look eerily like Windows....well, not this one! It has a more Mac-like interface, with something resembling the Dock, and windows that can be rotated in 3-D to clear screen space. I just signed up for the mailing list--heck, I'd even buy an x86 PC to run it on.

    Check out the pictures in the Wired article, it maight be easier to see why I'm so enthused.... :cool:

    Impressive, and I'm sure there's more to it than eye-candy.
    I need to look at that closer.
