Last week I had problem with my Mac overheating. This week I have my SuperDrive not reading DVD's.

It reads everything else (Audio CD, CD-Rom, MP3 CD) just fine, it just won't mount any type of DVD's (Video DVD, data DVD).

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Remedies?

Thanks for the information, but none of the instructions worked. At one point, my Mac did mount a video DVD, but when DVD Player started, it froze. Then afterwards, it stopped mounting again.

Could it be possible that some DVD related mechanism in SuperDrive broke?
